The idea is that you match each voice alert with the Gatsos of the same speed, i.e. (assuming you have lownloaded the speed-zoned set of camera files) you select the "pocketgps_uk_gatso_30" POI category and you assign the "Warning, Gatso 30" (or whatever it says) to it.
The two complications are that:
1 ) Unless you use Ray Flanagan's Extended Warning add-on (in which case you have more possible warnings and sensible names), you will have to work out which of the alerts are called which "noise", "boing", "polite" etc.
2 ) Unfortunately there aren't enough voice warnings for all the speeds, so you will have to make your own descision which one to use for each.
As a point to the PocketGPSW team, I'm sure a whole lot of people would love to know why on Earth there is no Gatso 70 warning, and why you waste a precious "slot" with a copyright message that no-one will ever use or even listen to? |

You make a good point gazza...
In the drop-down box labelled "Satnav system there is an entry called "tomTom OV2" - that is the one you want.
The "OV2" refers to the file format that TomTom uses for its Point of Interest files.
If anyone from PGPSW is listening, it really shouldn't say "OV2" in that menu, because that isn't the name of any TomTom unit! It has now confused at least one customer... |

Please have a read through THIS as it explains the installation/ configuration of the database for your device, if you have any problems please come back with a question, as it would appear you have been reading the POICapture guidelines rather than the camera installation ones - Mike |

| Not sure what you mean by "New Camera POI Files". There is no "update download" available, all cameras have to be downloaded again. madgazza wrote: | Please would you send me a Link to all the New Camera POI FILES.

Best Regards Gareth. | Please read this guide which gives you details of how to load the POIs onto your device. This will tell you which download is which. The download is available here.
Once you've digested those & downloaded the files, let us know if you have any specific questions/problems. _________________ Jock

Best Regards Gareth. | Sorry, although I was pointing you to the available help, I hadn't actually read it and now I can see where the confusion arises .
From Beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database
Quote: | Option 1 (single file POI)
As stated above, this category contains all of the above categories, except for the Continental one. It is for UK users who have SatNav systems that can only use a limited number of POI categories at time:
pocketgps_uk_sc |
This is equivalent to your "UK SINGLE FILES"
Quote: | Option 2 (5 main categories)
This is just the main categories and none of the subcategories that show speed limits:
pocketgps_uk_gatso
pocketgps_uk_mobile
pocketgps_uk_redlight
pocketgps_uk_specs
pocketgps_uk_temp |
This is equivalent to your "UK CONSOLIDATED"
Quote: | Option 3 (24 files comprising of both main and sub categories)
If you want the above but with subcategories of the Gatso, Mobile, and SPECS databases to show speed related cameras:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20
.
.
.
pocketgps_uk_temp
|
This is equivalent to your "UK ZONED"
Sorry for the confusion
Now it's up to you to decide which one you want :D
Maybe one of the Mods could amend the guide to reflect the name of the downloads _________________ Jock
