I got a note back from Navman support today confirming that the next update (due in October) will include 7 digit post code searching.

There was a suggestion that the update was to be issued in July. Perhaps the release of the 530 slowed that down. Let's hope that this update with 7 digit post codes does see the light of day. _________________ Navman ICN 520

Wonder if the update to the ICN520 running SmartST2005, will also work on a ICN510 running SmartST2005?
Any ideas?

I am guessing that the update will be SmartST2006, to be paid for, not a Service Pack freebie. _________________ Navman ICN 520

Guess it was hoping too much, that this would be a free update. Still we live in hope ! . |

I got a similar e-mail from Navman when I enquired about 7 digit postcode support.
Their response was that the 530/720 software was to be made available for other models in the near future.
I took that to mean it would be Smart ST2006 - and they would be charging for it in the same way they charged 510 users to upgrade to Smart ST2005. |
