I'm lookinjg to do the upgrade myself, but i don't want to lose all my alerts.

Which Camera Alerts were you using before?

I have got Rays POIExtend on my 700 at the moment, and I don't really want lose them if it can be helped.

Can you tell me what alerts you have after you have done the upgrade?
Cheers

Not exactly sure what you guys are talking about, but the PocketGPSWorld warnings are now updated for build 7030.

Lutz,
I'm on about the spoken voices supplied by and used with Rays POIExtend.
I know the PGPSW ones are good, and are updated for use with the latest version, but unfortunately they use all 15 of the existing sounds.
I want the spoken camera warnings, but could also do with 2 or 3 of the crappy boings and chimes for use with other POI's (Petrol etc) hence the use of POIExtend.

I guess at this stage it's irrelevant anyway as we can't get the upgrade from TomTom at the moment.....

Let's seehow the days progress!

At this point in time POIExtend will not work with the new application, no doubt this will be made possible at some future point but for now you have two choices bells and bongs (built in) or spoken alerts from HERE as always pay attention to the version number before installing to your device and always have a back-up of the working device before going ahead with modifications - Mike

A friend of mine had the same problem upgraded and lost the custom poi warnings I had put on for him. The solution was quite simple. The update put the default "data.chk" back onto his SD card. I replaced it with the custom one again (Ray's Tomtom Site V5.44) and all worked fine.

Rolling Eyes Confused... Rolling Eyes
Mike says you can't use Rays, as would seem the case with others....

theHamlet, you say a friend had the same problem when he upgraded, but you fixed it.
Are you saying he has upgraded to V6.12 and you have put the data.chk 5.44 file from Rays site back on and you have it working?

Please enlighten me..... cos I don't get it!
