|
|
Have just downloaded the latest update for my Garmin Nuvi, and noticed that one of the cameras (20967) in the Temporary Camera file is somewhere in North America - couldn't be bothered to work out exactly where.
Is this a one off, or are there a few US cameras in the database? Just thought I'd ask 'cos they are of no use to me as my maps only cover Europe. |

I screwed up between preview and submit when checking the link and didn't want to 2x post. I meant to add that it may be useful to place Mikes announcement in all forums. |

Have you just discovered one of their "deliberate mistakes" put in to spot pirated versions of the database? :D |

It's in all 3 of the databases I downloaded, UK-Consolidated by type for CoPilot V5 in the Mobile section, also in the UK-Speed Zoned Complete CSV (24 Files) and the TomTom OV2 Speed Zoned Complete (24 Files). For the last 2 it's in the Mobile_30 file. _________________ Graham.

Is this a one off, |
There are two other mistakes within the Consolidated database for Garmin may be in others also
GATSO:19921 48.94704, 4.35579
MOBILE:19678 49.23912, 12.6123
Gatso located Champaggne-Ardenne France
Mobile located Pemfling Germany
Makes you wonder on the rest of the database as other errors may not be so obvious |

That's the sort of daft error that creeps in when you automate a system and there's not enough manual checking anymore.... |
