Anyone know of a secure mount for the little Garmin Streetpilot i3? Currently using a modified sucker mount bolted to the fairing of my 03 Triumph Tiger.
i3 has modied headphone socket and is connected to a Intaride RP1 intercom. Works well with isolated lead.
Would be nice to be able to leave it on the bike, knowing it would be there when I got back to bike.
Cheers

Yes, it would be nice to be able to leave it on the bike but common sense says that some toe rag is going to try to nick it and either succeed or damage the thing in the process _________________ Gone fishing! |

Hi there,
how did you modify the unit to give you a headphone socket?

And www.mounts.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk (my site) - anything is possible with the i3.
pm me if you need any more info.
By secure, do you just mean that you want it to not be at risk of falling off or do you mean you want to be able to leave it on the bike and have it theft-proof? Even if it could be held on so that it wasn't easily stolen it wouldn't stop anyone having a go and damaging the unit/the bike in the process. |
