I couldn't transfer #s with my LG VX8300 either, but there is a work around.
Hook your TomTom x10 to your computer and browse to the 'contacts' folder on it. You'll probably see 2 text files in there already, 'called.txt' and 'callers.txt'. Take a look at the formatting of those 2 files as the file you're going to create will be the same format. Create a new text file called 'contacts.txt' in the contacts folder on the TomTom and put each individual contact in there in a separate line "contact name","contact #", for example:
"Friend1","xxxxxxxxxx"
"Friend2","xxxxxxxxxx"
"Friend3","xxxxxxxxxx"
You may notice that in the other 2 text files, there is a "+" in front of the number. I found that my phone doesn't seem to like this, so I just put the # in with no "+" in front and no dashes (don't think it matters if the dashes are there or not).
Once you save the file to your x10 reboot your TomTom and try and place a call using a phonebook entry, it should work fine! Plus now when anyone from a # in your contacts.txt file calls you it will display their contact name and # instead of just their #. Hope this is helpful. |

Similar to the fix for the X10 range - create a notpad document & name it :-
contacts
then add your contacts to the document like this :-
"Spark1e Home","01234567890"
"Spark1e Mobile","07777123456"
"Spark1e Work","01122345678"
Save & then copy & paste the ' contacts ' document onto your memory card (not in any folders) |
