One thing I have noticed with the new download is that it will announce when my phone connects and tells me which model the phone is using the TTS software, and it also announces that the phone is disconnected when I switch the phone off.

Make sure your internet connection is open (you might want to try disabling any firewalls - just incase), connect the Go x10 to the home mount and PC.
When the Home application starts up on the PC it should ask you to "check for updates?" if it doesn't you have probably disabled the facility to auto check each time.
Click the light blue spanner icon (top LH of the TT Home Application, then in the preferences box that will appear you can either press the "Check for Update" button, but at the same time you might consider checking the box labeled "Check for updated content when I'm logged in and my TomTom device is connected to the computer"
Hope this helps - Mike

I installed 6.110 yesterday and it worked fine until I powered off the 910. I couldn't then get it back on again until I spent some time pressing the reset button and placing it on and off the USB desk stand. The power button and reset button wouldn't work on their own. I could only get my 910 back by using the USB stand.

Since then I have had no problems powering on and off, I did have a small heart attack though last night.

Has the mp3 player been fixed also? Mike if you could try this out, i'm not going on any long distance drives for a while. Before i kept on getting errors like "an error has occured whilst..."
Its early days on this one, but having just tried it on a 40 mile run (checking the POIWarnings) I did a number of power downs and restarts hitting resume for the mp3 each time five re-powers, and never suffered a problem once with the mp3, interestingly my Audio books have also re-appeared, I had given up on them to be perfectly honest!

I like you VERY ingenious idea of "tricking" the go 910 by using 2 warnings. Fantastic, well done Wink
Good I am glad you like that, because you will need it, living in Blackpool it is very easy to access roads with loads of similar cameras at the same type/ speed (try the promenade - seven miles nine GATSO@30), as its a straight run, you get no navigation prompts to reset the device, I got the first warning then nothing but flashing cameras on the screen no audio. If you enable my dodge as posted above you get an alert for every one of them (return trip)

Did you get to try out the POI warning?
Yes please read above para, its still the same!!
Mike

Thanks a lot Mike for all this information. You know, we could work for tomtom support, I think we would provide a LOT more useful help for asking customers!!! Wink

I've tried your POI trick and it works perfectly. Let's just hope TomTom solve it in their next firmware update 8O

What I have noticed that on the mp3 player, when I tap on "playlist" i've got a so called playlist named "mp3" which wasn't there before and no folder/playlist exists with the name mp3. has anyone else got this??

Ha, I can't believe i've found all the answers to my questions in this one thread! Well done guys :D

Keep it up,
lydiachris

Carry a pin or needle in the lid of the soft case (I have done since day one!) - you never know when it will be required - Mike

Remote Control now works with Traffic correctly.

What was wrong with the remote and traffic before? I never had a problem. Or maybe I just think I never had a problem and never noticed what was actually wrong.
Thanks
