|
|
Folks,
I just bought a Oncourse BT reciever from buygpsnow.com. They told me that this reciever is the same internally as the BT338.
I am trying to use it with an old iPaq 3955 with a PCMCIA - CF - Belkin BT card.
It connects but drops the connection regularily. The same thing happens on the laptop. Strangely, if I run gpsinfo on the laptop..ONLY THEN does it NOT disconnect. I have not tried running gpsinfo on PPC, but will try tonight.
Strange.
Please help !

Oh yes, the GPS routing software I am using is Destinator version 3.0.25. The drivers for the belkin card are the latest Widcomm ones...I think something like ver 1.4.x |

I just put a stopwatch to it and I see that it disconnects after EXACTLY two minutes.
But if I have GPSinfo running, it does NOT disconnect.
Weird?
Looks like this is a setting somewhere. |

One thing I notice on the iPaq is...when the GPS is connnected, the BT software says that incoming connections are one. Outgoing connections are zero. Shouldn't this be a two way connection? |
