I've been having the same problems, with the Camera POI not giving a warning and I still haven't been able to sort it.
Can some kind sole write an idiots guide.
Also with Copilot Live 6 run on a SPV C500, if so how much memory is needed / is left.

Hi,
Has anyone got CP6 working yet.
How should it warn you, is it just a beep or does it speak and what should the icons look like, is it a little coloured square and does it show a picture icon?
Also do you have to change the file name to safetycamera(.ov2/.bmp)
And is in a case of all POI or none, can it be set just for Speed Cameras.
I want use it as a Camera detector more than a Sat Nav.
Cheers. _________________ Chorlie

I used to run CP5 on my SPV C500 but it ran out of memory all the time and produced loads of other problems (crashing, wacky routes etc).
I think there was only a meg or so of memory once CP started. You had to so into the task manager and stop all running applications but it still crashed all the time.
Also, I think the PDA (ie a device with a touch screen) and Phone versions of the software are different so as far as I can tell you can interchange the two. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Hi,
I found this link last night and installed it...
http://support.alk.eu.com/cgi-bin/alk.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=357&p_created=1146559311&p_sid=oHE1jd9i&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MyZwX3Byb2RzPTIsNjcmcF9jYXRzPTEzJnBfcHY9Mi42NyZwX2N2PTEuMTM7Mi51MCZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**&p_li=&p_topview=1
Its a patch for CP6, and now I have sound, I've got it set to 500yrds and its speaks, saying "Safety Camera Ahead" and when nearer I get a Bing Bong, but still can't get an icon on the screen. I've done what it says, renamed / deleted files etc, but no icon.
Has anyone else downloaded this and have you got the icon showing?
I've installed it on my old C500 so if I try to plan a route I get the memory error, I only have about 7.5mb free and I need 10mb+, but since I only really want the speed camera side it does what I want, but the icon would make it perfect.

Not with this new patch, it works in a different way. The screen doesn't change, you get a spoken warning and the icon of a speed camera on the map.

downloaded this last night and followed the guide and everything works fine on my T-Mobile Compact II MDA.
i renamed most files EG: safetycamera_mobile and so on for the other .bmp files. might have been something else but it,s all new to me and pondered around a little . |
