His worship is away so please excuse me for hi-jacking his tag.
He told me to do it. HONEST
Our daughter has bought an I3 this morning that has no Micro SD card.
Does the unit still take the small card ?
If it does, does this mean she can down load all the thousands of speed cameras on the database and other poi's if she purchases a blank card to put in the I3 ?
If she can work out to do it
Thank you in anticipation.

we understand
it would appear then that your daughter has purchased the new style i3.
this just means that what mine has, for example, on the micro sd card yours has in its internal memory.
having not seen a new one, if it still has a slot on the side, which i would expect it to, then yes it still takes them. this will be used for european maps etc that she may wish to purchase at a later date.
there will be no need to buy a card to download the cameras and additional poi's as these will fit on the internal free memory.
i suggest that a search of this forum will be of benefit to you as this concern has been raised recently, particularily as to how much free space there is.
hope this helps :D |

THANK YOU , kind sir.
We thought the internal memory only held about 6000 poi's.
Your link clarifies that position.
Miss EzilyLost, can now TRY and sort it out herself .
No doubt she will still end up running her fathers mobile bill up calling him in France
I will email your reply to her home in the frozen northern wastelands.
Thank's again
