|

i just bought the holus gpslim326 and tried tomtom software (5.0version) on my axim x51v.
unfortunately, my pda is having a hard time getting the signal (it does receive sometimes though)
also when it IS working (which is almost never), wen i click on "navigate to" or "planning A to B" options, tomtom terminates and screen goes back to the "today" screen.
if anyone know a solution to this problem, please reply.
thank you |

Don't think it can be anything to do with the GPSlim 236. I am using one with my iPAQ2210 and TTN5 and it works impeccably. The only problem I have is that about every tenth startup it won't connect (insufficient memory) so I do a soft reset and all is well again

Not sure that TT5.0 will work properly on the X51v because TT5.0 is not compatible with WM5 IIRC. As you can see from my sig.I am using TT5.21 on an X51v with a GPSlim 236 and I have no problems to report. _________________ Nexus 7 (2013) & Nexus 4/Sygic/CamerAlert

Similar story; using Axim X51, Globalsat BT338, TT5 v5.21 and WM5 with no problems. _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

You need to download and install the TomTom V5.21 version which is a free upgrade. _________________ Graham.

Do as XDA mentioned, go to www.tomtom.com and download TTN5,21 this version will install correctly on the x51v WM2005 equipped device - you can also check out the GPS is working by installing the TomTom gps driver vs2,06 from this sites download section, its a handy little application which you can use to switch between SiRF and NMEA, you GPS must be set to NMEA for tomtom to work - Mike |
