I have a TYPHOON MyGuide 7000 XL PDA and no doubt that the Falk software is crap. But how to switch to TomTom5 if i find contradictory info on the web ? Some have nice experiences (lucky) but some people report crashes of the TT5 after minutes of normal usage (2 cases found on a forum, both with no resolution for this problem). Please share me some of your experience, i would like to hear more about it.

TomTom is by far the most widely used PDA based navigation software in the UK (just look at the number of posts in the threads for different brands). Inevitably some people have problems, but there must be many thousands of people like me who just switch it on and go. Mine has been totally reliable, both in its present form, and also in earlier releases, for 2 1/2 years.
I don't know if your hardware is compatible - you can check your PDA from the compatibility list on the TomTom website, but if it is listed, you should be OK.

No, i know that already(i should have state it before): my device is not on the compatibility list from TomTom, but i have found severals reports about TomTom3 or 5 running on Typhoon Mobile 3500, but the issues that i have mentioned are also being reported against this device type. Pitty that i cannot try (at least i did not find a way to download a trial version, or something like that, :-) maybe on Kazaa) or not even some sort of hardware requirements.
