Can someone tell me has Tom Tom lost the plot with the new series.
Reason for asking this is that i am reading so many gripes about the latest versions that it is putting me off of buying one. Or am i just reading the wrong forums. Advice Please. |

I would say that the comments here have been pretty well balanced. There are a lot of positive comments too. Remember also that people are more inclined to comment when they have a problem with something than when they are pleased with it. |

Its been said before here and on other forums, you often only hear from user with problems. I have just recently upgraded from a PDA based satnav to the Tomtom Go910, and while we had some teething problems, these have been sorted or are in the process of being fixed. All new products have problems, its how those problems are addressed by Tomtom is how you should judge a product, so far TT tech support have proved to be very helpful. I am sure they will eventually sort most of the issues people are encountering. Its definitely worth reading these forums but don't let them put you off. There is a wealth of very useful information gathered here and some very knowledgable people.
The moderators here work extremely hard to provide a balanced view, and the contributers here can provide some very useful insight.
I did a great deal of research before choosing the TT 910 and I did expect a certain amount of glitches.... I think you will be hard pressed to find a better all round Satnav product for the money though.....
just my 2 cents........
regards

I'm not a big fan of polls myself as they reduce the subject down to a list of pre-defined options, and all of the reasoning behind the results is lost.
Also, popularity often has very little to do with quality. If it had you may conclude, for example, that MacDonalds is the best food available.
Polls may be OK as a bit of fun, but I wouldn't base any decisions on them. |
