Martin,
I only installed Checkpoint 3.2 on my PPC four days ago. I found that if you tap on the “Overlay settings” menu and then open the “not synchronized” folder, you will find all of the POIs that you’ve downloaded into TomTom. You can then select POIs as before in 2.02.
When you sign up with the web site, you can synchronize with the website, but I have found that this slows down Checkpoint 3.2 by a lot. You will also have the choice of 292 overlays to synchronize with although I suspect that not all will be available for the UK.
Once 3.2 is working you’ll get the “directional finder” in addition to the “distance bar”.

Martin,
Tap on the POI of your choice in the “Not synchronized” folder, and then tap the “Properties button”. Ensure that the “Detect POIs from this overlay” is checked. Tap on the tab for First warning and ensure that the “give a first warning” is checked, select the desired warning time and then selected the sound to play the warning. Then repeat for the second warning.
I saved my sound files in a folder on my storage card. I made up .WAV files from the Natural Voices website. http://www.naturalvoices.com/demos/
If you can’t hear the sound after that then you may need to check your system settings.

Martin, I had the same problem, I then realised that when I set the properties, I clicked on the X at the top and not the OK symbol. If you do this then your settings are not saved (as I found out last night, cos I got no warnings when passing cameras shown by TomTom). I have just gone back and checked, and all my settings regarding the overlays were not there, I tried several times, until I realised what I was doing.
Now I have entered my settings correctly, I've just run my home route as a demo and the speed camera warnings worked fine, complete with sound.
Cheers to Privateer by the way, that Natural voices is great.
