The only thing I see different is under the Planning heading on the left I get "My GO 910" whereas your screen shot depicts "My Device" - I don't get an option to re-name the device when I click the "My Device" icon at the bottom left of the screen it just simply lists the 910 as the only item but it is labeled "My GO 910" have you tried the re-install of the PC application? - Mike

Yet more feedback:
Having used SAT NAV since the very early days, I've become used to the turn left, turn right instructions did not think it could improve. Things have changed big time with the 910. Instructions are a lot more detailed, ie Turn left towards Watford, Join the M1 North Bound, turn right A6 Church Street etc etc. We now have a new game in the car to see how well TomTom can say each of the street names, its not perfect but the best computer generated speech I've heard.
Routing seems to have taken a backward step, and I'll be logging a support question with TomTom regarding this.
I didn't think I'd uses the MP3 player but it is very well integrated into the unit, instead of just interupting the music with navigation instructions theres a very suttle fade in and out... very nice.
Having used Brodit mounts in the past I'm not so happy with the screen mount, firstly I'm concerned the thing is going to crash to the floor whilst driving. Secondly the fitting and removal of the screen mount is a pain. One thing that some maybe able to help with is the techique for removing the 910 from the mount, supposidly you have to press the button on the top and this releases the 910, can I get it to work, no ? What I'd like to see very quickly is a Brodit type solution.
The other area I think they have got babdly wrong is the external connectors, power and audio out, specifically. It would be great to use the 910 in a hotel room to listen to MP3 files, and to also charge the unit. This is not possible, only the windscreen mount has both power & audio connectors. The PC docking station only has power, so even if I wanted to buy another docking station I could use my headphones. I think this is a job for Lutz to get his screw drivers out on...
In the accessories book on the last page theres reference to a professionally installed audio kit, no real details but the diagram shows it using bluetooth to integrate into your existing radio. I suspect it will be a unit thats a relay between the radio speakers.

Dont have any issues with worries about the mount falling off, but the vibration is terrible. Some roads (M2,A2) you cant even make out the speedo on it due to vibration.
Pressing the button works on mine, it probably is on yours as it wont come off the mount without pressing it (from my limited testing) but its still awkward to get on and off.

Just get a blue tooth headset, either that or sod the people in the next room
No sign of the TMC units yet and not on the tomtom site either.

Fully agree, it is fiddly to say the very least, I find 50% of the times I have docked the unit the charge light doesn't illuminate on the device, hopefully it will "wear in" over time and improve. I think the chaps over at Brodit should look at a mount for the device, but it wouldnt be too difficult to take apart the mount and bolt it to a pro clip (still fiddly to dock/ release though).

Again 100% as I type this I have Dire Straits playing on the 910 sat next to me docked to the PC - I would prefer to have it playing through the PC but I supose we can't have everything, time will tell if the mount stands up to the rigours of everday usage - Mike

I am having the same problem as mrstella by the sound of it. I have the "My Go 910" as Mike suggests but when I click on the switch on button by the red arrow I immediately get the Tom Tom logo in the screen then a message saying "Tom Tom Home has encountered a problem etc" and to notify Microsoft. When I click on "Dont Send" it justs shuts everything down. I have also reinstalled without any success.
One thing not mentioned yet is that when installing it offers an updated version of Tom Tom Home. I have tried both versions without success but just wonder what version others are using?
Will email Tom Tom but wonder if anyone has found an answer?

Could those of you experiancing this problem please post back with some additional information, PC OS, PC Firewall and status, antivirus software installed also if internet access is online when you are trying to use the program.
I am only thinking it might be able to show one common link between the three (At the moment) devices - Mike
I am running Norton Antivrus. When i disabled the auto protect feature it connects.
When Auto protect is on i get a box pop up saying "Norton worm protection has blocked a threat named Transcout.

Better do send that error report (if you have not done that already). TomTom will receive those reports automatically through Microsoft. _________________ GO1005

Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.5 GHz (fully stable so that's not the problem), 1GB RAM, XP SP2, Zone alarm free firewall (which popped up asking if tomtom home could be allowed to connect which I replied yes), Norton antivirus 2005 (which I've just tried turning the auto protect off but still crashes as described when "pressing" the virtual power button.

I am sure that I read somewhere that the 910 can "speak" text attached to a POI. Can anyone confirm this and give details of how the text should be added.

Goto change preferences, manage POI, When when near POI, click on the poi group, and set the distance and on the next screen it brings up it gives you the option to type in your own warning.. You must be running one of the computer voices though.
