Well I get Fourth Avenue, Deeside industrial Park GBR displayed on the Garmin, I am using 2,7 vs8 - I did try the seach selected to Britain and you get no match, select the correct country first and its fine (Thanks Nick), this could give you some problems as you live in that area, but I guess the "boundry" for entering searches will be learnt over time - Mike |

it's a shame there's no 'united kingdom' option so we don't need to select england, wales or scotland...
try searching in wales.

Just done search under Wales and sure enough there it is, how daft is that, as You said why not UK search. You would think as I did ch5 (chester) is an England post code, Valuable lesson learnt!.
Thanks to every one for your help

Aberystwyth has an SY (Shrewsbury) postcode so I wouldn't take too much notice of that.
It does cause me a few problems as I live and work almost on the border but as Mike says you soon learn where the border is.
I think Garmin should alter the software a bit so that a postcode search is not directed at one particular country (in rather the same way that the "cities" search works)
Nick. |

from memory there was another issue with a postcode near to wales...
maybe we should bombard garmin with emails to add a 'uk' search to the country list! and to be able to set a default point in the list - i.e. each time you go to 'where to' it will already have the last country highlighted or the default one highlighted.

its a pain to have to select 'england' every time you want to do a search.... the bl**dy thing knows where you are so it should go straight to the map page... _________________ *************************** |
