|
|
Hi all
Going to give it another month for the new models to be released.
Was looking at getting a 910 but cant be bothered waiting for much longer, what would be a good alternative to the 910.
Not bothered about USA maps, but would like speed database, decent routing, sirfstar 3 and hard disk rather than sd card.
Regards

The G0 700 is currently a good buy, £349 from PCWorld and you can probably get a further 10% off. |

£327 at Pc World, and the cheapest is comet at £324.90. :D
http://www.find-tomtom-deals.co.uk/
Has all the best deals on the old range and also a seperate page for the new models as well. Amazon and maplins are now saying mid may for the new models.
How outdated is the 700 though, ie maps and firmware.
Also is the new sirfstar chip in the x10 series that much better than whats in the 700.
Regards

Ordered new GO from amazon.co.uk today - they quote delivery in next 2 weeks - delivery 29 April - 8 May.
We'll see!

I've placed orders for the 910 with two suppliers, initially I was happy with EasyDevices as they quoted £477 inc delivery, since placing the order this has increased to £499 + delivery.
Maplin are taking orders and offer a discount, the price being £469 inc delivery, which seemed good. What was strange was when I asked if it was likely that my order would be included in the first shipment, the resposnes was that they had ordered 1200 units and my order was No. 91.
I'll have to wait and see.... |

Hi Speedcam.
Maybe UK people are a bit peeved with the delay of the UK launch so they are looking at alternatives.
I know I am.
Especially as it is available elsewhere now.
I need a unit double quick after having mine nicked last month.
I had decided to wait for the x10 series because it's release was imminent, but now it's not so imminent.
