hi-ya all
can anyone shed some light on how i can calculate the actual length of a route that i plan, i've used the rule tool and clicked on the start and finish points of my route, but am i right in thinking it calculates the mileage as the crow flies or does it do it as per road miles any ideas ,
thanks in advance Martin |

No, I mean (map) product. Roads and Recreation, MetroGuide, CitySelect or CtyNavigator. _________________ Tim |

You need to use the Route tool, two to the left of the Rule tool. Click where you want the route to start, again where you want it to finish, then press Esc to 'end' the route. The pane on the left of your window should then have a Tab with Roures(1) on it. Click that Tab and it will tell you the calculated distance. _________________ Tim |

If you use the route tool to click on a start and finish point then go to the route properties/directions, it will then give the total distance which will vary on how you have setup your "routing preferences" from the EDIT menu
