the tomtom licence isnt transferable so i doubt tomtom would give you an acctivation code

To my knowledge, you get 3 activations with any Tomtom product. After the first you have to wait 7 days until it lets you activate again. After the second, I believe that you have to wait 6 months until the 3rd activation.

I had used up three "strikes" when I installed TTN5 on my new HTC TyTN six weeks ago and everything worked a treat. However, due to the "screen alignment problem" my TyTN was replaced by HTC and now I cannot activate TTN5

I have contacted TT and despite being quick to respond, they want all receipts for all of my PDAs before they will allow me to activate it a fourth time

Now I have to turn the house upside down and shake it until the last four years of receipts come to light, or I cannot use the software I have paid for!

It annoys me that I have agreed to the licence agreement to only install/use TTN5 on one device, yet they do not trust their customers to adhere to this agreement.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, did you overcome the issue of missing receipts?

I believe you get a further activation every 6 months. Its not 3 activations as far as I know.

TomTom should give you a new code, hang in there and let us know what the reply email says!
