I've just upgraded from an XDA II to a XDA Mini S running the latest Windows Mobile 5.
The first issue encountered was that the 3.x versions of ActiveSync would not recognise the MiniS. This forced an upgrade to ActiveSync v4.1, supplied by O2 with the phone.
Next step was to load TT5 which is a CD upgrade from V3. However, as soon as you start the installation you get a Windows XP Serious Error Crash.
I tried downloading the latest TT5.2.1 patch and that will install, but I cannot load any maps.
Any suggestions anyone? Obviously I've emailed TomTom, but hey what's the point, you never get a reply that is of any value. |

AS 4.1 is shipped with a WM5 device for compatability.
TTN 5.2 is the only version TT list as WM5 compliant.
TTN 5.2 only works with newer maps, AFAIK GB562 or higher?
Plenty of references in the posts.
Nice device BTW. |
