Has TomTom ever said why the new units will be delayed in the UK but not in other countries? What makes the UK release different?
From mytomtomgo.com Quote: | Unfortunately, we have to post some bad news as well: today TomTom annouced that it will be May 2006 before the new GO's will be available in the UK. A reason for this was not specified. In the Benelux, the units are still expected to ship at the beginning of this April. |

They are still on all the other countries' sites - just not the UK! If you change the address code (anthing between 1 and 10) at the end of the URL you gave you will see them. |

Oh, I see. I hadn't noticed that. Maybe there is a possibility that the information for the new devices is simply being updated. |

The new devices are still shown on the UK website under the "support" heading. |

Amazon.com shows June 1st as the availability date for the 510 and 910 for what it's worth. Last time I checked they were unlisted on the amazon.co.uk site. _________________ Creator of the Bright & Vivid scheme available through HOME.

So they are - not the specs but the help files for the new range.
Curiouser and curiouser - TT UK website has support pages for devices they don't list on their products pages! |

It's never been the best laid-out website.
Although has anyone noticed that they do seem to have collected all the various maps into the same place at last? |

TMC is not free in the US either. In fact, it is still in beta test, but will be a pay service once rolled out. Hopefully just a one time fee. _________________ Lutz

Just a thought........... _________________ Thanks,
