Does anyone manage to use the streetpilot sofware with Linux? If so how?
In anticipation of windows Vista being costly I am working my way round to installing Linux on my PC,the only piece of major software I have that doesnt appear to have Linux support is the Garmin software.

You could always try WINE.
But just because Vista may be a cost, what's wrong with your current OS?
Plus Microsoft's Virtual Server has just been released for free, as has VMware server (at least the betas have been). |

Thanks Lester, I hope you mean WINE as in 'not and emulator' and not the bottled vareity!
I look into the others you mentioned.
The reason I am looking at linux is to be up to speed on it as well as i am up to speed on Billy G's windows, and not get caught out.
A question directed at Garmin could be usefull.

I'm with you on that.
I just can't see Garmin necessarily deciding to provide Linux / UNIX tools for the i3 - unless they have with other sat nav units?
