|
|
I am trialing the TomTom traffic service on a Tomtom go 700 and I have managed to get *one* traffic update but it will no longer connect to get traffic information giving an error "Cannot connect to TomTom traffic please check your mobile phone". However I CAN connect to get weather and connect to see the "plus" downloads, so the connection must be working surely?
Can any one give me any hints on how to solve this? I am in the UK using a Sony-Ericsson K750i on an O2 contract.
I was kinda hoping to test out the traffic from Monday when I start commuting to a new job. |

I have been having the same problem since 6/4/06 PM. It then worked this morning, but had gone off again this afternoon. I emailed tomtom yesterday and they said:
We are not aware of any particular problems with our Traffic service at present. Please try to connect again and let us know if you experience further difficulties.
Please can you tell us precisely which error message you received when connecting to the Weather service?
With best regards,
The TomTom Customer Support Team
so there you go.... |

TT are talking out of their behind
The traffic service WAS down yesterday around this time because I was trying to use it and got stuck in another jam.
You'd think for the money they charge for this a better and more accurate service would be available.
Have to say the weather conditions can be very useful - when it's working _________________ Thanks,

I would try it again and see if it's working now. _________________ Thanks,

I did send a message to the TT support desk and they told me I needed to re-find the phone and select the option to NOT accept calls when connected to the internet. I haven't had a chance to test it yet. But is sounds like it was just their server down.
Is there anyway to reset the phone and re-link it without doing a re-set and loosing your favourites? |

If you pop the end of a paper clip in the little hole under the docking shoe toreset it I don't think you loose your favorites - At least I haven't anyway
I honestly would just try it again before doing anything. _________________ Thanks,
