We use TOMTOM One for our delivery drivers - is there any way we can create the ITN files on a PC and upload - ideally using the full address data rather than the Postcode (we can do the postcode already, but not always very accurate in rural areas) |

To Clarify.
We currently use Mappoint to geocode our delivery points by Postcode. We have discovered the hard way that Mappoint and TONTOM do not sem to use exactly the same gridrefs. We would like to be able toinput the exact address into TOMTOM so as to get a gridref that matches the maps, but do this on a PC in batch mode and not by typing into the TOMTOM ONE |

I use Autoroute to take the address input and then convert either to an OV2 with POIConverter, or if I have Optomised a Route I use ITNConv, which generates an Optomised Itinerary. _________________ Richard

Will autoroute take and accurately show an exact address? Mappoint only works with street names or with a postcode. |

AR takes the Road and then applies a number, in the same way that TT does (with the same built-in inaccuracies).
AR can take any Text Based Information, usually Comma Seperated Values. It can also handle Excel and Access Files. You can choose which fields you want to use in Locating. 99 times out of a 100 the Postcode is the most accurate method.
There is no facility for locating House Names and the Roads shown still have the same problems as TT, in that not all are shown. _________________ Richard
