|
|
Hi
As you may be aware with all the new roads being built and roads re-routed i now quite often end up in e field on the tom tom screens. A bit annoying when i want to be off a road and the slip roads have now moved
What i want to know is.
IS there a Map update i can get to solve this problem as i don't see WHY i should have to pay to upgrade to TTN5 when i already bought the TTN3.
Any help will be greatly appreciated :D

Unfortunatly the only way to update the maps is to install the latest update complete. Even then there will still be errors due to the time lag from the new maps being updated and then released, this is normally about 18 months.
I'm still using version 3 and find it gets me to 99% of the destinations correctly. _________________ Graham.

Maps will always lag a fair way behind. However, I have just dropped CoPilot for TomTom due to awful routintg bugs. The problem is, the TomTom maps are pretty useless against what CoPilot has. I am learning to fly from Elstree and need to go down Hoggs lane to get there. As far as I know the road has been there for 100 years - not in TomTom though!
I went north from Hertford on the A10 - across fields in TomTom. I went to Chertsey a couple of days ago and was routed down a dead end on the way there, and another as I entered Hemel Hempstead on the way back. I went to Sittingbourne today and was routed down a one way street - I have been going there for 25 years and its always been one way.
TomTom, as well as not letting me set my own zoom level, your maps are so out of date to be embarrassing. |

Hogg Lane (not Hoggs Lane) is on the latest TomTom map (v632) which I downloaded from the TomTom site last week

So, TomTom was maybe only 98 years late then?
I only purchased TomTom two days ago and have version 571 of the GB plus map - pretty poor :x Do you have the new A10 bypass north of Hertford, or the A130 from Stanstead? |

Hogg Lane, Elstree is shown on my GB Map v562.
Strange it's not shown on your plus map, the only difference is it has the Major Roads of Europe. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
