Has anybody seen one of these before,I would have prefered to put a photo up if it was possible.It is about half the size of a road side light with an arm across, on the left hand side of the arm is a cone shaped what looks like a pot insulater, on the righthand side are two cameras facing the road,at the side of the cameras is a what appears to be some type of sensor this is facing about 45 degrees from the two cameras. Idea

They were putting up something similar on the A249 (I think that is the number) onto the Isle of Sheppey in Kent a couple of weeks ago. Looked like some sort of specs system as there were several of them - all the way from the A2 roundabout to the new bridge.

OK If you want to go and have a look,it on the lefthand side of the road just
before you get the deerply inn.on the Bacup to Burnley road Lancashire :D
I would have liked to put a photo up of it to save you going to look.

Yes, that's the right - A249.

The cameras could be to watch for the natives escaping the Island. :P

I may have to go there in the week, if I do I'll check them out. Smile

Now I never thought of that :D it is a possibility,I will keep my eyes open
as I pass that way everyday,or then again it could be to watch out for them crossing over into Yorkshire,I supose the sensor is there for when it gets dark Wink
