I just got my TomTom Navigator 5 Bluetooth yesterday. A little trouble installing but I finally got it going. Looks cool. I installed it on my Treo 650. I am thinking I would like to try it on my iPaq 4705. Can I move the maps to the iPaq? I installed TomTom on the iPaq and it seems to work but when I select a map, it says the maps are not registered. It gives me a device code (which obviously is different than the Treo) and the activation website says my maps are activated (which they are). Is this supported? I want to try things on my iPaw. I searched these forums and I couldn't see how to do this. Any help appreciated.

you need to wait seven days before you can activate a second device. After that you need to wait half a year before you can activate on a third device etc. _________________ Lutz

Does activating the second device, screw up the first ? Sometimes I want to use my new WM5 device in the car, and sometimes I'd like to be able to change to the HP device.....(when my wife wants the phone out shopping for the day!) |

no, activations are independent. TomTom doesn't have the concept of licence transfer (unlike ALK with CoPilot, or Destinator) _________________ Lutz
