With a little tweaking it now alerts you as you approach a camera location (regardless of your speed) *and* will continue to warning you if you're exceeding the speed limit 8) |
clever ! |
OK, so we’ve herd the hype - seen the screen shot - so where’s the download. |

In the meantime you can download it from here:
http://tinyurl.com/qwwwa
It should all be fairly self-explanatory - just download the application, and run it. There's no installer, just the application itself (to uninstall it, simply delete the file).
Drag the PGPSW database zipfile (Garmin_UK_-_POILoader.zip) to the application - there's no need to unzip the files first.
The database will then be processed and the files automatically copied directly to your POI directory.
Then run POI_Loader as usual (make sure 'Express' and 'Feet/Mph' are selected), to sync up your POIs. Note that it will take a little longer than usual, as there's more data to transfer. |

Nice - i'll give it a go today.
Any way of using non Speed Camera POIs so we can have the i3 bong once for other POIs like Petrol Stations. I'd like that on the i3 but you can't do it.
Looking at the files there is obviously a huge world of difference between the csv version of the files and the gpx files in technical ability. Clever how it can make it bong once and not continously. Is there anyway to make these User Options? ie So the user has a choice of continous bongs or just a single, time to POI vs distance, exceed the speed limit vs always alert on a POI by POI basis? |

Also once the i3 has bonged to warn of a GATSO ahead does the icon stay on screen until you pass it? |

Yes.
You'll get a bong as you approach regardless of speed, and the icon and red banner will stay on screen until you have passed it.
Additionally, you'll get the "bing bing bing" if you're exceeding the posted speed limit. |
