What sort of car are you using it in (do you have an athermic windscreen), and do you get a fix before moving off? _________________ Tim |

I have the same problem with mine I have to hang it out the window for a bit but sometimes up to about 10 mins and then when I get a signal it is fine inside the car. |

I find this problem ONLY if I haven`t used the unit for a while, when in regular use it locks in pretty quickly.

Does it have the athermic winscreen with the bluish coating? If so then it definately does cause problems for many receivers. They may work OK once they have a fix but if you get an external aerial then then the fix is much more reliable. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Try loading or reloading the patch from Navman this seemed to help on one my daughter had, doesn't affect pois, history, favs etc, not 100% certain but was much better and then laoded new pois and went back to slow times again, so try it last. |
