Well after reading the Posts here, and pulling the little hair I have out trying to subscribe to the forum to enable database downloads, it was my Firewall / AV.
I WAS using ZoneAlarm, but as soon as I changed, the "NoChex" links appeared.
So Norton is not the only culprit :o |

Just subscribed to the speed database download and although I can see the pocket gps POI files in the Great Britain map folder, when I go into TT5 to manage my POI, only the mobile speed camera ones are shown. The specs and mobile icons are on the map but not all the gatsos etc I am using the POI sync program and it does seem to download a huge number of POIs - could there be too many? |

It could be that you have exceeded the maximum, of 39, that TT can handle. _________________ Richard

Thanks for that. Is that 39 POI categories or 39 individual POI s? Seems a bit limited since there are so many POIs available. Is there any way to expand the POI capability? |

39 Categories. There is no way to expand this limit currently. Each POI set consumes some memory so its important not to go overboard! _________________ Darren Griffin |

What happens once a payment is made via NOCHEX? How is the database made available? Heard nothing since I paid last night?.....

Dodge 1,
Thanks for the quick response.
Been reading the thread and thought there was probably a problem, but I thought I'd put my Q in and try out the forum. |

Hi guys, the camera database download doesn't work for me. I get to choose the type (TomTom OV2) and then I choose the version I want (UK Consolidated - although none of them work), I then press the Download button and I get a new page with the Speed Cameras title and no further content. No download is triggered and there's no further link or anything.
I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.1 which does have the Adblock extension, but assuming your serving stuff up all within the pocketgps domain, then nothing should be blocked there. I disabled my firewall and AV but this has not helped. _________________ Garmin Nuvi |

Have you read earlier posts in this Forum in particular Mullet and mine rest assured it does download O'K?
If still no success try I.Explorer |

Yes I have, and I have no doubt that it works for some people, although you appear to have loaded an extension in order to view the site within IE. So it's not really working in Firefox for you either.
I was merely pointing out that using Firefox doesn't work for me either. I see that it works for Darren, so there's something else that's going on in combination.

Thanks, but no thanks . Firefox is my browser of choice and it works for every other site that I visit, including banking and finance sites. I'd rather help the team resolve the current issues for future users than side step them. _________________ Garmin Nuvi |

RicoBunyon,
I am running Firefox 1.5.0.1 also (but without Adblock - I only have Flashblock and Talkback loaded) and it downloads just fine.
Are you using a download accelerator extension? This may be your problem.
You could try removing your extensions from Firefox one by one and try downloading again - this should identify what is causing your problem.
