Hi all,
This is my first posting and my first PDA so bear with me. I have had my 57 for about 3 weeks and after a day i noticed that when it was linked via the USB with the charger plugged in, the slightest movement caused it too lose synchronisity with the PC. I contacted the company I bought from and they asked that i get in touch with Navman. Navman said that it was probably a problem with the charger and to send it to them for a replacement one. I am still waiting for the replacement 7 days later. Anyway I have just been out in the car and the same thing is happening when connected to the in car charger - the green light stops flicking on and off and will then start again when braking or going over a bump/whole in the road.
has anyone else had this problem? Is it a known problem? Any help would be appreciated as I think i am going to have to send it back to Handtec the company i bought it from!

I've had mine for about 6 - 7 weeks now and I've not noticed this problem. The USB cable and the car charger work fine enough, and it has not dropped out yet as far as I can tell.
It sounds like its the connector on the PiN itself that's a bit flakey if its happening with both the car charger and the USB cable.
Maybe that you need to push Navman on this . _________________ .......

I am now on my second 570 the first had a flakey power connector it spopped for a couple of days then started again. After that the charging lead became stuck in the socket. I swopped it in the shop. The new one seems ok time will tell
I had emailed navman still waiting a reply.. |

I bought my 570 in september last year. Within one week the power connector fell apart. Phoned Navman UK, they arranged a swap with the shop, and I had a replacement that day.
I've not had any problems since. |
