If i'd got them all in catagories, such as the Gatso's, Specs and Truvello's, Why would I want a seperate one for all of them? |

My Speed cam logos became red boxes this happened after I updated *and* put the new speed cam database on (single version) at the same time. Fixed it by just using the smaller of the two bmp files (why are there two of each type?)
I saw someone else reported this but didnt see a fix. |

Probably used on some other system. Don't forget the download is for lots of other satnavs as well as TomTom. |

I have no intension of using bluetooth, therefore is there any point in upgrading to the newer version, other than more POI's can be accommodated? _________________ Welsh Boy |

Hi Gofy, welcome aboard.
I think most of the 5.420 issues were BT related, so like you say 'for you just the extra POIs'. _________________ Richard

Having had my Go 300 for almost a year now without problems I was wondering if there is any value in upgrading from version 5.00 to the latest 5.4? I download the camera database each month and all that works OK, I get from A to B OK, and even down to the South of France to a hotel that wasn't even on the Michelin map so can anyone explain what benefits I would find if I entered the brave knew world of version 5.4? |

There are only 2 things that I can think of.
Improved phone handling and the ability to use POICapture.
If you don't have a phone connected for the Plus Services, and I suspect you don't, I would hang on until V6 comes out (sometime in May). _________________ Richard

Hi all,
Just been trying to update from version 5.2 to 5.42. My TTG500 now just locks up at the splash screen. I have tried the update by removing the SD card from the TTG and putting directly into my PC, I've also tried it by the more normal route i.e. using the USB cable. I have tried re-setting the device - using the "paperclip" hole. All to no avail.
Apart from the excellent Camera database from this site, I have also installed one of Ray Flanagan's voices with the extended number of spoken warnings. Should I delete all of this stuff from the card before I try updating again? (I am now back with v 5.2 for the moment but would like to start using the POI Capture app.)
Please can anyone help?
Thanks in advance,
Chookman |

If you have used the Extended Warnings, that you had with 5.420, this is what could be causing your problem.
Each Version Number has a different data.chk File associated with it. _________________ Richard

Have a look at the last four posts on THIS PAGE on the other forum.
I think Ray is already working on a fix. |

Richard and Andy,
Many thanks to you both for your responses, I'll have to wait until this evening to experiment further, but will let you know how it goes.
Cheers,

I was reading yesterday that Tele Atlas added new maps from Mexico. Are there any plans for these on an update? I might have to go to Mexico City in July. |

I'll ask around - I could imagine they add them to the PLUS offering, and you may be able to purchase them online. _________________ Lutz
