I use a couple of 512MB and a 2GB SD and can use them in the wifes camera and or my PDAs, I often use the PDA to view the pictures when out and about as its a larger screen - they work no problems (same for CF memory cards) - Mike |

dont most cameras create thier own folders?
past cameras i've had (different card types)
i thought the initial insertion of the card into the camer may mess up my pda folders _________________ Qtek 2020i PDA

Yes they usually do. Get to know how the image folders are named for later transfer to PC.
Before you do anything backup the entire PDA memory card! an accidental format in the camera will loose everything. Its all too easy to format the card when deleting images from the camera menu.
Format the card within the camera. Some cameras are choosy as to where the format took place. Then replace the backup files onto the memory card via a card reader.
Take care only to move the image folders to your PC when transfering images. Again, best done via a card reader.
Providing the PDA and camera use the same FAT system everything should work OK. |
