|
|
I am a new to this forum so appologies now if I am asking a daft question.
After purchasing my i3 and updating the software on it to the current version on Garmin web sight. I down loaded and installed the December Safety Camera Database onto it everything worked fine it found all the location of cameras but the speed displayed in the red proximity header at the top of the screen was wrong i.e 21mph in a 30mph zone and 33mph in 40mph zone and say 52mph in a 60mph zone. I lived with this for December thinking that the January speed camera data would solve this problem but after updating to the current January Pocket GPS UK Safety Camera Database v4.014 I seem to have the same problem.
1. Does anyone else have his problem
2. Is there a fix for this problem
3. Also can you down load voices for the i3 to use instead of the warning tones it currently uses.
Any Help Most Welcome

Do you mean it was displaying the wrong speed or the warning came on at the speed you mention?
The warning comes on at about 5 mph below the set speed for the camera you are approaching and will go to a continuous bong if you are over the limit. If this is what is happening then it is working fine.
There are some threads below discussing how to strip the speed data off the file if you do not want speed alerts at all.
As far as the voices are concerned I don't think that is possible.

Its comes on as you are approaching the speed camera area and indicates 21mph when it actually is a 30mph thats 9mph difference is this right

Do you mean the banner at the top indicates 21mph or the little box in the bottom left?

I mean the banner on the top is indicating the wrong speed ie 21mph instead of 30mph
