You can't do it in D3. I've set mine to dim the screen after 5 minutes when on power (i.e. in the car or at home in the cradle) which is usually enough for me.
You only have to touch the screen or the thumb button to get the screen to brighten again. |

You can go into your settings, you will should see a backlight option in there in which you can adjust your screen brightness and time of autolight off. Or you can set it so it never goes off whilst on.

Sorry I'm not sure I understand what you want to do. You want power save on for destinator when it is on but not for other functions of your pocket pc??
You see I run it on a pnd so I may have a slightly different setup to you. I was talking about a settings menu in destinator, is this not what you were after? When I exit Destinator I have option to go back into destinator or change settings (I think this is called the Destinator Shell). I suppose this is the settings of my unit so you will have different. Not sure I understand myself now, sorry mate.

Ah I understand now. I don't really know. Have you tried altering the settings in Destinator (Backlight) or do you not have this option. You see, as I said I run OP on a PND and have a software shell that controls these setiings. I am not really sure if yours will be the same. But even if you can control the backlight settings through Destinator I would have thought your timer of 3 mins for your pocket pc would still activate. _________________ Goodmans GNAV10

i don't have that menu in destinator.
and in windows i don't want to use it because i will spend more power, if i receive a ring call the mobile will be always with light on(spending power)
i hope you understand me |
