Hi
I have two Garmins one with the v7 map and 1 with the v8 maps, is it jsu a case of copying the contence of the 8 onto 7. to upgrade them both to the same level, and are you allowed to do this.
Thanks

I don't think that will work, I believe there is some encryption involved.
Anyway it would be against the licence agreement so don't be surprised if this thread disappears.

If you own two Garmins, you can activate new maps for them both. You will not be able to just copy the data across, though. _________________ Tim |

i think neil is talking about the i3 , not the city select maps that come with two unlock codes.... _________________ *************************** |

Ah, do the i3s not come with CDs? In that case, I'd be inclined to question Garmin on their policy wrt this product. _________________ Tim |

all the mapping is loaded onto the transflash cards and no cd/dvd's are included, but alot of peeps want to travel to europe so the only way to get euro maps is to wait for garmin to produce ' euro transflash cards' or load city select europe onto blank cards... _________________ *************************** |
