I have just got my RBT 3000 ( from tsgps.de 249 euros) and am somewhat disappointed. The package is minimalist - just the receiver, an in car charger and software. There does not appear to be any software that enables a display of satellites etc on an iPaq 3970. I have managed to get the GPS and the PDA to communicate but no further. Sureley something sold as a GPS receiver should diplay a position? or am I being stupid? |

You need to install the BlueGPS software from the CD. It will work with any GPS Software. |

Thanks for your reply Dave. I have installed the Blue GPS software which I used to set up the link between my PDA and the RBT3000. However, I cannot find any software on the supplied CD or any part of Blue GPS which will give me a display similar to those on handheld GPS e.g. Garmin or CRUX View as shown in the Emtec review. Do I have to buy separate software to get this sort of display on my PDA? If you have managed to set up your RBT3000 could you please let me know the filename or the relevant bit of Blue GPS.
One other point - my PDA and the RBT3000 were unable to recognise each other at a distance of 5m and I had to sit them side by side before they would communicate, this on high power from the PDA. I thought Bluetooth could link at 10m or more.
Are you writing a review of the RBT3000? |
