There was a posting which I can't find which gave details of how to change certain map colours, can someone refresh my memory and indicate how I can for instance change the colour coding for how motorways are represented? |

I recall a list of colours associated with their coding numbers which allowed you to alter the colours your self if you did it in Notepad and then just dropped the altered file back into the TomTom folder. It wasn't the 'standard' maps you could get elsewhere. |

Can anyone explain what the tomtom color collection 1.2 actually does? Is it the same colour scheme that's inherent in TTN2? I've dowloaded and installed it but only tell a difference in the 'greys' scheme. |

My understanding is that you can only replace the .CLR files that are already there - Navigator doesn't scan for these files, but has the names of the standard ones 'hardwired' into the code.
As "greys" is the least likely to be missed, I believe the various Colour Collection options simply replace that with the new custom option.

Thanks DavidW. Garry, do you know how to actually change individual colors in the schemes. Where are the files located in tomtom? |

Any idea if the software in the picture is used to change the files or just display it. Looks useful _________________ TomTom 920T |

Try this:
Locate and copy the file greys.clr from you PPC to your PC.
Open greys.clr in Notepad
edit RGB values (255,000,000) for the item you want to alter
N.B. use MS Paintbrush to Choose/verify new colour values.
Save file
Transfer back to PPC
Select Greys in TTN2 Properties.

Thanks for that Richard, I'll give it a try but I'll save a copy of the file first for when I mess it up! |
