I recently purchased a new ipaq hx2490, running WM2005. I have been running TomTom 5.2 on an iPaq h2210 quite happily for some time.
I also have a Sandisk 256Mb SD card.
I managed to install TomTom 5.21 onto my new iPaq, and used the old SD card (on which my maps were already installed).
The next day, I turned my iPaq on and it refused to recognise my SD card - File Explorer didn't list it. I tried it in my old iPaq, and it read ok.
So last night, I did a factory reset on my new iPaq, reinstalled TomTom and the maps, and all was well again - until this morning when, once again, the SD card is not listed in File Explorer, and TomTom says "no maps found".
So have I got an iPaq with a dodgy card reader, or could my SD card be at fault, despite the fact that it reads ok on other iPaqs?
I've had this iisue with my SD card and IPAQ 5450. Although we are running different units and operating systems, one way that worked for me was simply to take out and re-insert the battery from your PDA. I know this has worked with others on this forum to, but don't ask me why or how....
On another note, the Sandisk 256 card is probably the most unreliable card I've ever had! I have actually thrown mine away as it could not be trusted. _________________ XDA Orbit (the best so far)
