Hi. I am installing TT5 using the upgrade pack I purchased from TomTom.
I am having issues with the software though. I cant enter full postcodes.
I have installed the file from the instalation cd (folder name ZIP - containing great_britail.postal and SETUP.dat).
Can anyone help me out by recomending a solution to this problem?
Cheers, Keith |

Add a folder to the root of the SD card entitled tomtom don't put anything in it and you should be OK, also make sure you are using the correct method for nav to post code, its got its own icon when you select "navigate to" select the "RH arrow" from the next screen then the "postcode icon" - Mike |

Glad you got it working, if you had installed the latest version (which for TTN PDA) is 5,21 it would have done this, its avail for free from the TomTom web site and might be better than that you have on the CD's - its up to you if you want to try this - Mike |

Hi wogan
I was amongst the first bunch to get the upgrade from TT3 to TT5 and the Post Code issue was brought up repeatedly on this forum in the days that followed. When some bright spark came up with the idea of putting in an empty folder called Tomtom I thought it was a wind-up. Anyway, I gave it a try and when it worked I was gob smacked. I can assure you that you will find more help on this forum in one day than you will by trying to contact Tomtom in a month. Yep, it may appear that there are a few nut cases here but they know what they are talking about. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
