|
|
Hi there,
My wife owns a 9 month old Honda CRV which has the Honda Sat Nav system running from a DVD. I can't find out the make but it appears to be made by Alpine Electronic Inc and Navigation Technologies Corp.
Is it possible to buy a different Sat Nav software system to use in her car?
Her system only shows an aerial 2D view (from a long way up) and she cannot add any additional POIs. It also takes an age to enter the details of where you want to go.
I use Tom Tom Navigator 5 running on a PDA stuck to my windscreen and I have to say that despite the smaller screen, it beats the pants off of her in-built system.
Thanks for your anticipated advice |

I've just seen some other answers to Alpine/Navtech questions so it looks a bit grim but any advice would be helpful.
I'll just be sitting her . . . . by the phone then . . . . waiting for some advice . . . . . . |

Sorry there's no edit facility on this forum . . . .
I guess the key question is whether I can buy another DVD software package and push it into the DVD player on the dash.
D'ya reackon it might automatically work? . . . . . yeah right!!!
Anyone have any experience of this???? |
