How large a memory card will the unit handle?

Seem to recall that a contributor 'Pontyslapper' put a 1 gig card in his some time ago. search back. He managed to get all of the maps onto the one card.
Also there have been threads where people have had compatibility probs with some cards but afraid that I don't have details

Hi Alec
I am running a generic (ebay sourced) 1Gb SD card in my Medion 100 - no problems at all. Extra space is useful for maps (or videos which can be copied (and shrunk) using a program like DVD-to-Pocket PC.
Incidentally I swapped over the standard GPS software for TomTom 5 and find it a huge improvement. Basically the map orientation is really well done, (zooming in and out and rotating around roundabouts is oily smooth) - you can also rotate the map ("sideways" if that's your thing), I also like the fact it can search by postcodes, and there is some novelty value in having "celebrity" voice instructions...
Finally I guess too its easier to use with gloves on (I sometimes use it on my m'bike).
If you know what you are doing - TT5 needn't cost a penny either
Hope this helps!
