|
|
Just been out playing with my new TomTom One and was given some dodgy directions! 8O
Quite close to home I have to make a turn on to the A453 towards Nottingham. 'Jane' advised me to make a right turn, but you can't actually do this; you have to make a left turn about 100 yards before this junction to take you under the road so that you can enter the flow of traffic without crossing it. How do you report this sort of error so that they can be corrected in future updates - 'cos if no-one does I guess they'll always be there. Wasn't a problem for me as I know the road, but if someone wasn't looking at the sign posts it could be. I presume that the mapping is clever enough not to send you the wrong way down one way streets, but haven't had to negotiate one yet.
Cheers - Frazz. |

Yes, except for where there are errors like the right turn one you just found.
You can report errors..
1) via TomTom's website:
You have to Log In first, then go to the "Support" tab, and it should be the last entry in the red-bordered "My Account" box.
Or
2) direct to TeleAtlas:
FEEDBACK FORM (need to enable pop-up windows) |

Better to use this Feedback Form and ensure you use Great Britain as Country. _________________ Richard

Dammit, you're right! The TeleAtlas site is as tricky to work round as the TomTom one. Went down the wrong branch this time. |

Interestingly, even if you correctly select PDA Navigation on the left hand menu bar, clicking on the feedback form returns you to the Navigation CDs screen if you don't have popups enabled. _________________ Tim |

Aha - I reckon that's exactly how I did it... Was using my home PC this time to check the URL to post and didn't have pop-ups enabled for that site at first.
So I'm not going mad 8) |
