Hi
Hmm thats a strange one, i take it the map software is ok and you talk to the unit with it ok? what error message do you get pop up? what does it say? remember if you have any text in the welcome screen it wont show up, i guess you know this. Hmm its a weird one try it on another machine if you can, maybe its a weird USB issue, the image i can confirm is fine. What revision of firmware are you using? the latest? and im guessing you have the latest version of ximage as well. One thing your bike looks good when you get it loaded 8) Have another go see if it will stick.

Here is the error I get. It's apparently something I'm doing when saving the image. I can download the splash screen from the unit and then immediately upload it back to the device and it works.
Here are the properties of teh original image i downloaded from the device.
Here are teh properties of the image I've been talking to. They are the same. I would let this go but it's becoming something I need to figure out or else it's gonna drive me crazy. I've tried this on a different computer and same results. |

IT WORKS!!! Don't know what was different but instead of using Photoshop I used GIMP (freeware photo editor) and it worked. Thanks a ton for everyone that tried so hard to help me. |

Probably Photoshop "optimised" the palette... and xImage doesn't like that (it clearly states you have to leave the palette, size and stuff alone). _________________ Robert Elsinga =8- )

Photoshop does tend to include a lot of metadata in the image, certainly it includes an II2 header in jpeg images which makes them much larger than they need to be (for small images).
Perhaps it did something similar to the BMP. _________________ Gone fishing! |
