I have recently bought 2210 and EMTAC CRUX II Bluetooth GPS , as I am totally new to this world of navigation can any of you kind gentle men guide me as to which software(Europe) I should buy which supports Bluetooth.
I really need this info so that I do not end up buying a software which do not support emtac, ipaq 2210 and bluetooth connection.
Many thanks in advance

srini,
I presume that your prime purpose would be for in-car navigation.
My personal preference would be TomTom 2 navigator with German maps and the availability of the rest of Europe.
I have used the Emtac/ 2210 combination with TTN2.4, which is OS 2003 friendly. The Ipaq 2210 can 'drop out' from time to time but you have bought a good, lightweight combination. _________________ PeterB, Kent, U.K. |

Hi Peter,
Many tahnks to your response, but I did not understand the phrase - The Ipaq 2210 can 'drop out'
can you be kind enough to elaborate a bit.
Thank You

srini,
There are some claims that the Emtac/2210 combination can be subject to a degree of instability. Also that the functioning of the 2210 is also liable to some intermittent problem.
This issue is dealt with elsewhere on this forum.
My own experience has been that occasional 'soft resets' may be required but that when being used for serious road navigation, the combination is fine and reliable.
Ipaq may issue a software upgrade???? later?? _________________ PeterB, Kent, U.K. |
