|
|
Does anyone know if the Target LRC-100 can be force-triggered, i.e. commanded to fire a beam regardless of whether or not it has received one? Is this perhaps what the green wire does?
I was thinking about installing security lighting, pointing at my driveway, activated by the LRC-100's beam, then link the LRC-100 up to my car's alarm system so that when someone attempts to break into the car, the LRC-100 fires a beam and turns on the security lights.
This way, not only will the car's alarm be going off, but the thieves will be lit up like a christmas tree and everyone will be able to see that it is a genuine break-in attempt and not a false alarm.
Can anyone help? |

Hi antera-309,
to the forum!
The Target LRC-100 laser jammer was originally designed as an electronic gate and door controller. You’d drive into your drive, and it would send a signal to the sensor on your garage and your up-and-over garage door would open.

I'm not sure the LRC-100 can be triggered by any input other than an external Laser Diode beam, I'll investigate as your proposal sounds interesting. The only issue aside from triggering it is you'd need to ensure the LRC-100 was able to see the security light receptors? _________________ Darren Griffin |

You can activate the LRC 100 with an infra-red device for example the infra-red port on your mobile phone or range finder on your video camera this will trigger it and set off the 904nm laser diode. |
