It's designed for both the Bluetooth receiver and original cabled receivers according to the press release, so I suspect what it will have is a 3800 connector on the back for the 3800 iPAQ and you'll plug the 3800 end of the cable into the cradle. Or they'll issue a seperate cable that is designed specifically for this which plugs into the accessory socket and the Receiver cable that terminates in a RJ11 plug would probably then plug into the back of the cradle.
Unfortunately we don't have a review copy yet, we'll get one soon and we should also be able to confirm this.
The press release we were sent from TomTom's PR company is also available on TomTom s Website |

So do you just plug your existing TT2 cables into this unit?
Has it got yet more leads?
Does it use suction mount?
Does it use other mount?
Will TomTom put it on thier website? becuase if they have I can't find it!
Best regards David |

I suspect the 2210 model mount will take a while to come out. |

Looks very nice indeed but what about a H2210 model? |

But the Brodit mounts have long provided this facility. IMHO the ProClip mounting system offers a far more stable mount than vent or windscreen mounts and you can dock/undock your PPC easily. Using ae external GPS you can even mount the data and power connector to the Brodit as one unit. _________________ Darren Griffin |

jayshry, I think you are right. The ability to be able to slot the Pocket PC into a mount like you do when you slip it into the charging cable is something I've been longing for, for quite some time. It's not the most attractive mount on the scene and the main problem I forsee is that you will require a specialised mount for the Pocket PC you have, whereas most mounts like Arkon and Seidio will fit most Pocket PC's. |

gstenson, you know what, that for me is the most important thing, and it was left out of the press release. I would presume that it's windscreen as this is what TomTom tend to go with, and it's too high for a vent mount. |

This mount looks great, but I assume one would not buy the full TTN2 package anymore because of the duplication of PDA mounts, just the software and GPS receiver separately.
If so, how does one achieve a single power connection to both the PDA and the GPS receiver ?

Yes, but all of you are comparing two products that are not alike in any way, shape or form.
The tomtom mount enables you to slide your ipaq/pda in, however the other powered mounts are inferior in that you have to manually plug the leads into the ipaq/pda.
Please correct me if I am wrong but the tomtom mount does look far superior and is better integrated that the arkon and seido mounts and probably works better with tomtom. |

When you check out the prices, also check out Seidio powered swivel mount. Seidio offers same mount as Arkon, but the price is USD 20 less. Now, they can ship the mount from their new facility in Europe ! www.seidio-europe.com. You will recieve the mount in 3-5 days. Great deal !! |
