The 2720 uses a hard drive so how would that survive on a bike

A bike environment would give it a hard time. Vibration will be significantly more than a car and leaning everytime for corners won't help. If it breaks, say you had it in the car, would be my advice! |

The term I have seen used is "solid state" Perhaps a technophobe can tell us what that is _________________ Asus Zenfone 2 twin sim, Garmin Zumo 550, 660 and pocketgps speed camera database

Sure!
"Solid State" means "no moving parts". The memory is made of silicon memory (which is shock proof) as opposed to a tiny hard drive with a spinning disk and delicate mechanism to read the disk (which isn't very shock proof). _________________ Gone fishing! |

You don’t want to have moving parts on a bike (my cbr does not vibrate that much but the Yamaha i did my DAS on was really bad for it). If you moving parts and the vibration could damage these parts. _________________ Regards
