Give him a chance though as i know he's been busy with his work course and his family...
So take it easy and CHILL.... |
oh aye, it's in my 'to do' list... i'll try get it done!
however, it's good to know about the where to and 'parki' (but if you spell it wrong it sends you to bradford ;)) - shame they don't have a specific list in the 'where to' for parking... i'd seen the 'p' signs in map mode but never found a way to get to them
might email garmin about it!

Click "where to?"
Select "Food Hotels & more"
Click on "Spell Name"
Type in "Parki"
At this point you'll get several screenfulls of "Parking" where each one is a car park. in order of nearest to your present position.
Unfortunately, cannot see any way to actually programme a route to a particular car park unless you know the address of same.

The car parks listed are in order of closeness to your original destination (before you selected 'find nearby') and so if you select the nearest car park and then navigate it will take you to the car park rather than the original destination.

The "parking" option does not exist, at least on my i3.
A bit more accurate than spelling PARKI in Food, Hotels and More is:
Press Food, Hotels and More
Press Auto Services
Press All Auto Services
i3 will then list car dealers, but also car parks in order of proximity.
You can use this when you are in the vicinity you want to park, or if you are going somewhere find the destination then instead of "Start Navigating" use "Show Near". Then go through Auto Services etc again.
If you click "Show Map", you will get a little P on the map, like this:
It's a bit of a pain, and will be much better if Garmin give us a "parking" option to search - but at least it works and you can navigate to them fine... |
