Dear forum
I have a iPAQ 3630 and am looking around for a 2nd hand GPS sleeve.
- Which one would you recommend and why ?
- Functionally, whats the difference between Navman 3000 and the older Compaq packaged version they used to sell in Dixons ?? As this one seems to have voice directions ?
A prompt response greatly received, as desperate to purchase a new gadget !!! |

Both Navman 3000 and Compaq iNS sleeves are identical, the only difference is that the iNS has something in a chip that allows you to lock it to the iNS software.
I'm assuming you are going to purchase other software and are not expecting software to be with them ? If that's the case, I'd go for a Navman 3000 sleeve. If you went for this and had the SmartPath software, then you could upgrade to SmartST Pro, or you could purchase something like TomTom Navigator 2 or Destinator 2. |

Dave
Thanks for response
I now have a iPAQ 3630 with Navman GPS3000 sleeve and 256 CF. I have installed the software which comes with GPS3000, but would like voice instruction, recalculate and speed camera info.
What software upgrades do you recommend.
Thanks mate |

If you want speed cameras too, there's two options available, bin the software and purchase TomTom Navigator 2 or purchase the software only version of CoPilot Live.
If voice navigation and route recalculation is a necessity, then you could upgrade to SmartST Pro on the Navman website. Either way you will be looking at purchasing software at £100+. |
